Who loves BLOODY MARYS??
I DO!! I DO!! I DO!!
And so does my husband!!
So one day while enjoying a nice Bloody Mary during Brunch (my favorite meal of the day), he got to thinking: “Why not mix my Bloody Mary with our dinner tonight?!” And Bloody Mary Chicken was born! We have also done it with pork chops, and they are equally as delicious.
You can make it as spicy as you want, but be sure to reserve some of the mix to put on it after the chicken done. (It’s also great to drizzle over baked potatoes!)
Some of you might be thinking, “Do we really add the Vodka into the marinade??”
Yes, Yes you do! I believe it is what makes the chicken so tender and amazing! But you can try it without if you really want.
4 Chicken Breasts
8 Second Pour Vodka
2 Cups Bloody Mary Mix
1/4 tsp Celery Salt
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
Shake of Pepper
2 Tbls Worchester Sauce
1 Tbls Pickle Juice
Optionals: Horseradish, Tobasco Sauce, Chili Powder – as much as you want, depending on how spicy you want it
1. Mix Vodka, Bloody Mary Mix, Celery Salt, Garlic Salt, Pepper, Worchester Sauce and Pickle Juice. Add Optionals – depending on how spicy you want it! (Reserve some of the mix to put on your chicken after it is cooked)
2. Marinate Chicken Breasts over night. (Make sure chicken breast is covered by mix)
3. Grill over medium/low heat until cooked through. Cook with grill lid down until the end, then lift for last few minutes.
4. Now its time to plate it up, drizzle some extra mix over the chicken and add some vegetables. I had carrots and mashed cauliflower with our Bloody Mary Chicken.
