Are you a writer? Or maybe a wanna be writer? Then join the Five Minute Friday group and link up to LisaJo’s blog and join in the fun. Lisa gives us a word to write on for five minutes. No editing, just raw and from the soul kind of writing.
This week’s topic: LAST
The last fleeting days of summer are quickly flying past us. Those lovely, long, sun drenched days of laziness where we have less on our schedules and far more time to sit and watch the day pass. The last beach day will be upon us as the days start to turn cooler and the leaves start to change colors. The sun has started to set earlier and it won’t be long until I won’t even see it set before I leave the office.
So we say good bye to our summer flings and get back into our “real” lives of structure and responsibilities. But there is another Last that my friend and co-worker has just experienced over the last few days. She said her last I Love You to her father. The last hug and touch. That one last look between them before he passed. He was able to come home last night from the hospital for one final evening at home. And from there he said he last good byes.
So here are the rules:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking. 2. Link back here and invite others to join in. 3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community.. – See more at: http://lisajobaker.com/#sthash.ShtTGXIV.dpuf
